Voice
I studied voice under Dr. Norman Spivey at Penn State. In the last 4 years, I have been a winner twice at the student auditions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, received jury honors and undergraduate recognition- the highest distinction the voice faculty can award to students on their performance juries.

Europe 2012The summer before my freshman year at Penn State, the State High music program toured Austria and Germany. It was a wonderful experience. I fell in love with Austria, and its culture and music. I was given the opportunity to conduct Locus Iste by Anton Bruckner in his crypt in the St. Florian monastery in Sankt Florian, Austria. I was standing about 5 feet away from Bruckner's casket conducting one of his pieces, and it was one of the coolest things I've ever done. The way Bruckner's harmonies rang through his crypt gave me goosebumps. It's an experience I'll never forget.
