ConductingAs a requirement for my major, I took Music 266 (Intro to Conducting), Music 366 (Intermediate Conducting) and Music 466 (Advanced Conducting for Choral Music). I really enjoyed these classes! I learned not only the physical technique of conducting, but I learned rehearsal techniques to help lead successful rehearsals.

Willa Taylor Undergraduate Choral Conducting Internship
I am so grateful to have been chosen for the Willa Taylor Undergraduate Choral Conducting Internship for two semesters in a row. Through the internship I directed Sine Nomine a mixed chamber choir outside of University Choir. I auditioned singers, chose repertoire, created a rehearsal schedule and ran rehearsals from the piano. It was an amazing learning experience that gave me a great foundation to start student teaching.
